    Based in Asheville, NC, Connection Cafe serves up organic goodness at wellness retreats, festivals, and farmers markets. We're commited to sourcing local, sustainable ingredients whenever possible. Nourishing nutrients are important to us and so is knock-out zesty flavor. Our food is primarily plant based and gluten-free, and when we serve meat, it is ethical and organic.

    High quality for large crowds

    Hailing from San Diego, we've been featured ever year since 2017 at Lightening in a Bottle, Bhaktifest and other wellness and transformational festivals. Our operation is designed to serve fresh, high quality healthy tasty food to crowds of thousands, very quickly. Our primary menu includes Coconut Chia Pudding in the morning, Buddha Bowls during the day and steaming bowls of Miso Ramen Soup late into the night. We also serve ceremonial grade cacao at select events.

    Personalized Care for Wellness retreats

    We serve at multiday health and wellness retreats around the country. Our food is healthy, homemade and internationally inspired as well as matched to meet the specific daily program needs of the retreat participants. We like to add special touches like dining room design and surpirse desserts for birthdays.

    Connection Cafe

    Born in the Farmers Markets of San Diego (you can still find us in Encinitas on Sunday mornings), we bring market fresh ingredients to the masses at wellness and transformational festivals like Lightening in a Bottle, Bhaktifest and Joshua Tree Music Festival. Soon to be serving on the East Coast.

    We prioritize quality and great vibes. We are able to give very fast service for large crowds through small-batch cooking scoopable yummy plates. We want our food to taste amazing and our community to feel great and energized after eating.

    Our crew is a family of well-intentioned, caring individuals who care about health, and who love the events we attend.

    Buddha Bowl

    Healthy - Hearty - Zesty - Fresh

    During Daytime Hours we serve Buddha Bowls~~

    Steaming coconut quinoa and pressure cooked pinto beans topped with a crisp veggie blend of leafy kale and juicy crunchy veggies. There is also a cooked veggie option with sweet potatoes and bok choy. We smother it with our very addictive sauce- Buddha Sauce- handfuls of fresh ginger, garlic and scallions blended into rice vinegar, tamari and other asian inspired goodness. Top off with crunchy seeds and fresh coconut toasted pecans. We also selectively offer organic animal protein add-ons.

    Late Night Ramen

    Warm - Rejuvenating - Rich - umami

    When the sun goes down and on into the late night hours we serve ramen-- steaming rice noodles in a homemade tamari miso broth brewed with shiitake, ginger & garlic, topped with perfectly medium boiled eggs.

    Drinking Cacao

    Heart opening - warming- Velvety

    Our cacao comes from an extraordinary farming cooperative of 60 families in Selva Lacondona, Chiapas. We sweeten it with agave, cinnamon and home-made nut milk.

    Chef Josh

    Healthy Food and Connection Ring Leader

    Josh has been finding ways to help himself and others feel physically amazing from the food we eat for decades. Originally motivated from an early diagnosis of Crohn's disease, Josh has gained an intimate understanding of how food impacts our well-being and has been serving up custom catered meals across many contexts.

    Josh has extensive experience catering intentional menus at multiday retreats for 15 to 75 people as well as producing thousands of plates for huge crowds at wellness festivals.
